The Knitting Blues

December 30, 2007

I don’t really know what’s wrong with me. I have (or had) all of this free time to knit and relax and knit some more, but I don’t really feel like knitting anything. Maybe it’s the lack of spark that my months old projects are giving me. I don’t feel like knitting any of the other projects that I’ve been putting off and I can’t seem to find that project that sparkles in my eye and it’s driving me insane

Well, I guess I’ll have to tell you what I have done recently. I think I may be feeling this boredness since the few days before Christmas I had been knitting to death to finish all of these projects but now that I think about, maybe that is why I have no inspiration… I did find a record of 3 projects in one afternoon since I had also made sugar cookies too…

I think I might go and knitting blog surf for a little while… :)

Merry Christmas Eve

December 24, 2007

Ahhh, yes, it’s CHRISTMAS EVE!!! Yay…. :)

Let’s just say I’ve figure out why people get so stressed out at this Christmas. There are just so many things to do in the matter of 2 or 3 days. From the baking to the cooking to the decorating to the wrapping to the everything else! I am truly amazed and greatful that people across the country (and the world) can do it every single year for many years!

I’m saying all of this since I spent basically all of today helping my mom cook in the kitchen, making a variety of no-bake cookies, sugar cookies, fruit salad, and egg dish of some sort, and gah, it’s just so much. :) But hey, what matters more than the food and the presents is the fact that you can spend the quality family time with the people you love. I mean, when I spent the last couple hours working in the kitchen side by side of my mom, I wasn’t stressed out because there was so much to do and so little time, but the fact that it was me and my mom spending time and actually talking together. I spent my time very well, I could have spent all morning in my room with the door shut or played on the computer and not cared but I took advantage of that time. :)

In conclusion to that, I hope that everyone out there has a very happy holiday and a very happy new year. :)

Yay! I knit again!

December 16, 2007

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!! I feel so accomplished with today. Not only did I knit for hours but I also figured out what I was going to get for everyone for xmas and I bought yarn for the first time in MONTHS. (Sad, I know)…

So here’s what I bought:

(Manos del Uruguay, left: color 65, top: color 104, right: color 55)

As you can also see, that I have already started a new project! That is the Kim’s Hat from ‘Last Minute Knitted Gifts’ and the book says 2-4 hours… I’m currently on hour 3 and a half…. yay, it’s going to be a smigin over 4 hours… nonetheless…

I’ve also been knitting this (I started last night)

Hehehe… :) Me GUSTA…

Otherwise I’m keeping busy stufying for a written drivers test, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and knitting. :) More soon!

stress…again sorry for the delay… major delay…

December 13, 2007

Ughh! I feel so horrible being an off-topic, never-blogging blogger. :(

Well since I only have to survive tomorrow, I’ll be home free until January! YAY!!! I LOVE winter break. :) I do have to say, I haven’t been doing as much knitting as I would normally like to. It’s just hard trying to fit everything in and be able to have a life… which I don’t really…

(I have to make this kind of short since I am suppose to be writing an english paper on “The King Must Die”)

Well, life has changed a lot since the last I wrote. :) Bowling has finally started up again even though I don’t really like it as much since this jerk that my friend and I call “Red Nose” (I can’t bear the though of calling her Rudoph since I love Rudolph) and she is soooo negative. Last week at our home bowling match, I ended up getting 201, everyone on varsity gave me either a hug or a high five and came to me to say congrats and she just stands there looking pissed. Ha! Wow, isn’t that amazing Red Nose? Someone on JV actually got a better score than you!

Anyway, many many other stories to possibly tell. But I will tell you that tomorrow, I have an essay due for english, a vocab test, a world history chapter 7+8 test, a lab write up, a montage due, a retake for an algebra test (I got 28/30), and a spanish exam. :( No me gusta.

I guess I better get going since I (obviously) have a lot to do. :) Hasta Luego!
